September 25, 2018

INTRUST Bank announced in June that it reached an agreement to purchase Millennium Bank. Millennium Bank will continue to operate as usual until the closing of the transaction, planned for November 30, 2018. Customers will be provided with further details of the transition as they become available.

INTRUST Bank has operated in Junction City since 2007 when it acquired First State Bank of Junction City, and is currently located at 904 W. 6th St. Originally chartered in 1876, INTRUST Bank has grown to 44 locations in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas and has become a leading financial services provider in the region. The bank has strong Kansas roots which are reflected in its ongoing support of many local organizations, including the United Way of Junction City, the Geary Community Healthcare Foundation, Junction City First and others.
Millennium Bank Chairman Gery Schoenrock stated, "INTRUST is a highly respected banking organization, the largest privately-held bank headquartered in Kansas and is currently under the fourth generation of family leadership.” He added, “Their commitment to the growth of Junction City is evident in their support of economic development initiatives, and we are confident they will continue to help our community grow and prosper.”

“As a community bank, INTRUST is dedicated to the communities we serve,” said Charlie Chandler, chairman and CEO, INTRUST Bank. “We are focused on creating strong relationships by getting to know our customers and addressing their needs.”
