Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to have a new card?
A: Yes, you will receive a new enhanced EMV embedded chip debit card the week of October 10, 2016, and your new Pin # will follow a few days later.

Q: Will my Pin # Change?
A: Yes, you will have a new pin # assigned to your new card. However, if you wish to change the pin you may come to the bank and we can change it for you.

Q: When will my current debit card stop working?
A: Your current debit card will stop working on Friday October 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. the new cards are scheduled to be active on Saturday October 15, 2016 by 2:00 p.m.

Q: Will I have to change my online banking password?
A: If your current online banking password meets the following criteria you will not have to change it for the new system:
Password Criteria:
Must contain 3 of the 4 criteria below and must be between 8-15 characters
1. At Least One Upper Case Letter
2. At Least One Lower Case Letter
3. At Least One Number
4. At Least One Special Character

Q: What if I am trying to log in with my current user name and cannot access the new system?
A: Contact us at 785-761-2265 and we can assign a temporary access ID/Password to you.

Q: I am being asked to enter contact methods. What are they used for?
A: Our new online banking solution will not use "Challenge Questions". The system will use the contact methods you provide to authenticate you as a user. A code will be sent via SMS/Text or e-mail to the contact method you entered. The code must be entered prior to accessing your Online Banking accounts.

Q: Will I be able to access my statements online?
A: Yes, you will continue to be able to retrieve your newly generated statements online. However, previous e-statements will not be available. We highly recommend your print all of your 2016 statements and archive them for future use. Your final statement on our current system will be cut October 14, 2016 and it will be a paper statement. All future statements will return to e-statements and will be available online.

Q: Will previous check images be available?
A: Previous check images will not be available. Please save copies of any previous check images you will need. However, as with the e-statements you will have all images available going forward.

Q: Will my scheduled bill payments transfer to the new system?
A: No, your bill payees will not transfer to the new system. Any scheduled payment after October 7th will need to be deleted and paid by a different method for October 2016. It is very important that you delete your scheduled bill payments and transfers now. You will need to re-input all of your current billers and recurring transfers after the conversion. We apologize for this inconvenience but it is necessary for the conversion to be successful.

Q: Will you continue to offer Mobile Apps?
A: Yes, the new apps will be available for download in your app store on October 15, 2016. Please delete your old app on October 14, 2016 and download your new app any time after it is available on October 15, 2016.

Q: Will I be able to set up automatic transfers between my accounts and make loan payments?
A: Yes. Our current system will deactivate your ability to make transfers at 4:00 p.m. on October 13th 2016. You will be able to create automatic transfers on the new system after 2:00 p.m. If you have recurring transfers you will have to set them up in the new system, they will not transfer for you.
